Sauk Lake

Sauk Lake, nestled in the heart of Sauk Centre, offers a serene and picturesque setting for both locals and visitors. The lake is a beautiful spot for recreational activities such as fishing, boating, and swimming but also provides scenic views for picnics and leisurely walks along its shores.

Size: Approximately 2,126 sq acres (8.6 sq km) in size with 22 miles (35.4 km) of shoreline. Sauk Lake is approximately 61 feet (18.6 m) at its deepest point with an average depth of 17 feet (5.2 m).

Fish: Although there may be others, anglers can expect to find a variety of fish including Black Bullhead, Black Crappie, Bluegill, Bowfin, Brown Bullhead, Carp, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Pumpkinseed, Walleye, White Crappie, Yellow Bullhead and Yellow Perch in Sauk Lake.

Boat launches:
There are three public boat launches on Sauk Lake. Please observe any specific lake regulations posted by the boat launch and please help keep the launch area free of litter.

  1. In the Sinclair Lewis Municipal Park on the southwest shore of Sauk Lake.

  2. 1 mile north of Sauk Centre, on US Highway #71, on the west shore of Sauk Lake.

  3. From US 71 follow CR 2 east for 1.3 miles to County 15. Take County 15 south for 0.3 miles to Bayview Dr. Follow Bayview Dr for 0.1 miles to the access.

Caution: There are some aquatic invasive species found in Sauk Lake including zebra mussel and flowering rush. Join us in the fight to prevent the spread of invasive species. Don't worry, we have the power to stop them in their tracks with just a few simple steps. So let's do our part and protect our waters from these unwanted invaders.


Fairy Lake


Fairy Lake, located in Sauk Centre, is a tranquil retreat for nature lovers. Known for its serene waters and lush greenery, it’s perfect for fishing, kayaking, and picnics. Surrounded by walking trails, visitors can explore the region's beauty and enjoy local wildlife, making it an ideal escape for relaxation or adventure.

Size: Approximately 307 sq acres (1.2 sq km) in size with 4 miles (6.4 km) of shoreline. Fairy Lake is approximately 37 feet (11.3 m) at its deepest point with an average depth of 17 feet (5.2 m).

Fish:
Anglers can expect to find a variety of fish including Black Bullhead, Black Crappie, Bluegill, Bowfin, Brown Bullhead, Carp, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Pumpkinseed, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Yellow Bullhead, and Yellow Perch in Fairy Lake.

Boat Launches: There is one public boat launch on Fairy Lake. Please observe any specific lake regulations posted by the boat launch and please help keep the launch area free of litter.

  1. 1.5 mi N of Sauk Centre on Stearns Cnty Rd 17 (turns into Todd County Rd 11), then 1 mi N on Todd Cnty 11 to E shore.

Lily Lake

Lily Lake, a serene gem nestled in Sauk Centre, MN, offers a tranquil escape for visitors and locals alike. This picturesque lake is surrounded by lush greenery and is perfect for a variety of recreational activities, including fishing, kayaking, and picnicking by the shore. With its stunning sunsets and abundant wildlife, Lily Lake provides a perfect backdrop for memorable family outings or quiet moments of reflection.

Size: Approximately 66 sq acres (0.3 sq km) in size with 1 mile (1.6 km) of shoreline. At its deepest point, Lily Lake is approximately 38 feet (11.6 m) deep.

Fish: A variety of fish including Black Bullhead, Black Crappie, Bluegill, Bowfin, Brown Bullhead, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Pumpkinseed, Yellow Bullhead, and Yellow Perch are in Lily Lake.
